Description
Travel back to the majestic lands of Johto through the perspective of a boy or girl from Cherrygrove City on their way to becoming a great Pokémon Master! Set 20 years after the events of Gold and Silver, you’ll meet many new and old characters along your journey, as well as uncover more of the region’s secrets. Discover a wide variety of Pokémon and an all-new storyline as your path intertwines with a mysterious group calling themselves Team Phoenix, who seem determined to capture Celebi for some nefarious scheme.

Known Bugs
The game freezes after falling down with Oliver in the Ruins of Alph: Fixed in the v1.1 patch.Hisuian Zorua and Hisuian Voltorb don’t evolve: Fixed in the v1.1 patch.- Galarian Weezing (and possibly other Pokémon) causes Sprite glitches in double battles: The sprites might flip around, which isn’t game-breaking but looks odd.
- Mega Evolution symbol stays on screen after the Mega Pokémon faints: The symbol remains visible sometimes but disappears after the battle or if you check your other Pokémon.
- In multi-double battles, if all your teammate’s Pokémon faint, you might not be able to switch.
Galarian Yamask couldn’t evolve into Runerigus: Fixed in v1.2 patch (7/3/24). Now, Galarian Yamask just needs to sustain 49+ damage in battle (calculated as max HP minus current HP).The game freezes when talking to Mom after the first Shane battle: This issue is rare and was addressed in the v1.3 patch.

Note: Some emulators seem to have issues running the game and will crash. I recommend using mGBA for mac and PC, and Pizzaboy GBA for Android. (Someone will have to let me know if there’s a good one for iphone)

Q. How to get all of the Legendary Pokémon?
- Mew: On Faraway Island, available after the second E4 win, speak to the bald man on Apricotta Beach
- Mewtwo: Bring Celebi to the shrine on Faraway Island and it will take you to Cerulean Cave
- Articuno/Zapdos/Moltres: All in the Whirl Islands up waterfalls in their respective areas
- Celebi: After being freed from Team Phoenix, you can encounter Celebi at the shrine in either Ilex Forest or Kizu Forest
- Lugia: Up the waterfall, you find it in front of earlier in the Whirl Islands
- Ho-oh: In a new area inside Mt. Mortar
- Raikou: Begins roaming after your second encounter
- Entei: Hatches from an egg given by Silver
- Suicune: Hatches from egg given by Gold
- Rayquaza: At the peak of Mt. Silver
- Groudon: Terra Cave which appears on Route 32 after catching or defeating Rayquaza
- Kyogre: Marine Cave which appears underwater on the Goldenvine Sea after catching or defeating Rayquaza
- Jirachi: Appears at the peak of Mt. Tempest after being freed from Team Phoenix
- Deoxys: Birth Island, available after the first E4 win, speak to the bald man on Apricotta Beach
- Dialga: Ruins of Alph, take Ho-oh to the first braille puzzle

Q: Where do you get HM waterfall?
From an old man in a house in Blackthorn. It’s the one with the old woman outside. You need to defeat the 8th gym leader, and he will give you the HM waterfall.
Q: Where do you find Lugia for the story event?
Same location as in HGSS. You don’t need HM waterfall, just dive.
Q: Is there an EV or IV checker in the game?
No EV checker, but there’s an IV checker NPC in Cherrygrove City.
