Pokemon Vestiges WAH is a special commemorative project created to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Whack a Hack!, the largest Spanish-speaking Fangame and ROM hacking community. What began in 2005 as a small gathering place for creators to share ideas, resources, and knowledge has grown into a historic community that has left a lasting impact on the ROM hacking scene.
In this unique adventure, you’ll assemble your ideal team and climb a legendary tower filled with increasingly difficult challenges. Along the way, you’ll battle administrators and prominent members who helped shape the community’s history, honoring two decades of creativity, collaboration, and passion for Pokémon fangame development.
Story
Sometime in 2005, Whack a Hack! was born.
What started as a place to share ideas, ROM hacks and knowledge continued to grow over the years, becoming a community that has left its mark on generation after generation of Pokémon ROM hackers. Twenty years after its creation, people who once administered the community come together to celebrate its history in the most fitting way possible: through Pokémon, challenges and battles.
The player must choose one of the available teams and enter a challenge consisting of 21 rooms, where 27 administrators from throughout WAH’s history await. Each room is a vestige of the past: a challenge representing a different part of the community’s history.
Only those capable of overcoming every battle will complete the challenge and claim the legacy of WAH.
