About the Game
Ready for a new adventure through the Unova region? Blinding White Plus is an expansion of the Generation 5 games, developed as a passion project that reimagines the original progression and introduces an entirely new set of challenges!
Beginning your journey in Aspertia City alongside your childhood friend Hugh and a new companion, Benga, you’ll explore a variety of locations rarely visited in the original sequels. With reworked progression and three difficulty settings, the game features a steeper level curve while giving you the freedom to experiment with over 130 unique Pokémon evolutionary lines before the third Gym!
Features
- Reworked Economy: Battle minibosses and exchange their rewards for useful items, making every encounter count.
- New Music: Additional tracks keep your adventure fresh as you explore Unova.
- Animated Pokémon Sprites: Demo 2 introduces animated sprites for 20+ new catchable Pokémon, with more planned for future updates.
- Quality-of-Life Improvements: Access an IV maximizer and Move Relearner at every Pokémon Center.
- Convenient Pokémon Menus: Check your Pokémon’s movesets and base stats at any time.
With revamped progression, multiple difficulty settings, and a wider variety of Pokémon available early on, Blinding White Plus offers a fresh take on the Unova adventure.

What Changed in Demo 2 – August 15, 2026
New Features
- Easy Mode has been implemented! Major trainers and Gym Leaders now use simplified teams, making the game slightly harder than vanilla but easier than most enhancement hacks. You can change the difficulty at any time through Key Settings!
- A Learnset menu has been implemented! Click on a Pokémon in the Summary menu to view its learnable moves, evolution information, and base stat totals. This makes it much easier to play the game blind! Thanks to Trusty Peaches and HZLA : )
- Type icons have been implemented! Small elemental icons now appear next to a Pokémon’s name, allowing you to check its typing at a glance. This makes it easier to plan your moves and avoid surprises when a Pokémon has a different type than expected! Thanks to HZLA and Trusty Peaches : )
- Move text colors have been implemented! Moves are now color-coded according to their effectiveness: green for super effective, blue for not very effective, and crimson for immunities. This system also accounts for immunities granted by abilities and items, such as Air Balloon. Thanks to HZLA : )
- Streamed music has been implemented! The game now features a new Gym Leader battle theme and a final Pokémon theme courtesy of Zame, with in-game credits included. I’ve also added a few Pokémon Battle Revolution tracks. I won’t be using too much streamed music, since I still want to focus on creating a unique soundtrack, but this does make adding new music much easier! Thanks to HZLA for helping me get this working : )
- Double battles can now be assigned to a single trainer without crashing! After spending a little too much time getting this working, you’ll now encounter a few trainers who use this feature in-game.
Trainer Changes
- Terrell now has only one Pokémon.
- Isabel’s team has received various changes.
- Petey’s Weedle and Sentret have received changes.
- Izzy no longer has a Spheal.
- Kimya now uses only her Teddiursa, whose moveset has been modified accordingly.
- Albert’s Combee has been removed.
- Molly’s Psyduck has been removed.
- Eric has stolen Molly’s Psyduck and dropped his Luvdisc and Corphish.
- Kenny no longer uses Wailmer or Ducklett, opting for a Hoppip instead.
- Tungsten’s Roggenrola has been removed.
- Rigby no longer has a Chikorita.
- Carly’s nightmare Audino has been removed (too early for all that).
- Sylva no longer has an Amaura.
- Isaac now participates in a Double Battle with two Pokémon.
- Masahiro no longer has a Herdier.
- Landon’s team has been reduced to two Pokémon.
- Cerise now participates in a Double Battle, and her team has been revamped.
- Hugh now uses one fewer Pokémon in his Virbank City rival battle on Normal and Hardcore modes.
- Blaine no longer has a Golett.
- Lumina now participates in a Double Battle, and her Bronzong has learned Trick Room in place of Round.
- Lorenzo now participates in a Double Battle, and his Claydol has learned Trick Room.
Move Changes
- Dynamic Punch: Reverted to 100 BP and 50% accuracy. Chuck’s team has several ways to boost accuracy, and the game now includes more moves that increase accuracy.
- Iron Tail: Base power reduced from 120 to 75. It was twice as powerful as Dragon Tail, which was a bit much!
- Explosion and Self-Destruct: Base power reduced to 150. Both moves effectively have 300 BP due to their guaranteed critical hits.
- Memento: Now has +6 priority, allowing it to execute before any other move, including Fake Out and Protect.
Quality of Life
- Fixed the “[Pokémon] is hurt by ____!” message by replacing the blank with the default “a move” string.
- Fixed the dialogue options for selecting Single or Double Battles in Roxie’s Gym.
- Fixed broken dialogue in Roxie’s Hardcore Mode battles.
- Fixed the Pokédex entries for Serperior, Dewott, Dartrix, Amaura, Aurorus, Lycanroc (Midday Form), Brionne, Spritzee, Aromatisse, Noibat, Noivern, and Corsola.
