You play as a research assistant working under Maggie, a doctoral candidate in Pokémon Research. Maggie is guided by Professor Elm, who has shifted his studies toward the fascinating phenomenon of Shiny Pokémon after the incident involving the Red Gyarados at the Lake of Rage. These uniquely colored Pokémon are now the focus of groundbreaking research.
