Story

Pokemon Liquid Crystal is a ROM Hack developed for the GameBoy Advanced system using FireRed V1.0 as the base ROM. It’s a complete remake of the Original Pokémon Crystal game from the GameBoy Color. The story is the same as the Original Crystal with a load of extra events and even a brand new region to explore; the Orange Islands.

While playing Pokémon: Liquid Crystal you will experience the original main story from Pokémon Crystal, with additional events placed in and around it. Expect to see new evil teams, rivals, and other twists throughout.

This hack is quite old, no BW2 repel system like other FireRed does, also abandoned Orange Islands. Thankfully, there has some Chinese developer finished it, not just translate text.

Real-Time Clock not functioning properly.
Fix is available on github (“Custom RTC for Pokemon Rom Hack Not Properly Detected” #579).
Just use online hex editors to fix it.

Anyway know how to remove the overworld weather affects? (rain,lightning,snow, and I think sun as well?) Such as a gba hacktool or something? Tried gba dns hacktool but the tool is mostly a seasons editor plus it gave an error mssage claiming the rom was using a possibly outdated something so the dns tool failed to overwrite the rom.

and then you can find a good pokemon fire red rom with improved graphics and play kanto in that instead of playing kanto in this rom and going to kanto because all you will really do is fighting the gym badges and there is less npc’s and none of the plot so it’s boring, and if I remember right they added a bit to kanto but still not enough to make it lile playing fire red, still boring.

  There is one now for Kanto name is: “Pokémon Extreme Red” without quotes. The battle graphics are fully reworked and look loke 3ds pokemon games battle graphics and not half reworked like liquid crystal so there is no weird blue lines on top of battle screen and all cheat codes work in it, only thing you may wanna tweak with a gba pokemon hacktool is trainer levels as the person who made this rom did a very poor job on trainers pokemon levels because many trainer pokemon have more than 15 levels above you right after beating Brock and going to the path to the right to continue story heck even varadian forest has around 9 levels or so increased with a couple trainer pokemon.

Thank you, best Johto hack ever. gs chronicles and many other hacks most cheats don’t work, this one most if not all work such as no random battles, inf hp, pc item modifier, pokemon in wild modifier, move modifier, walk through walls, etc…
