Pokémon Legends: Arceus Release Date Revealed

Pokémon Legends: Arceus

Pokémon fans finally get to learn more about the Generation IV remakes Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, as well as the second Sinnoh adventure Pokémon Legends: Arceus … at least, when they’ll be released! All three games can now be pre-ordered.

The Pokémon Company (TPC) has disclosed when Pokémon Legends: Arceus and the remakes of Nintendo DS classics Pokémon Diamond and Pokémon Pearl will be available. On January 28th, the former will be released on Nintendo Switch, while Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Pokémon Shining Pearl will be released two months earlier, on November 19th. All three are available for pre-order.

Pokémon Legends: Arceus, like Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, is set in the Sinnoh region. It’s an action role-playing game set “far before” the events of the previous games. You’ll be in charge of developing and finishing the region’s first Pokédex. Trainers will also be able to learn more about the legendary Pokémon Arceus.

TPC says it has “faithfully replicated” the storey of the original games in Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, promising a journey “that feels both familiar and modern.” Some of the beneficial, player-friendly elements that have been present in recent main-series Pokémon games should be expected. Turtwig, Chimchar, and Piplup are the starter Pokémon, and each game has its own legendary Pokémon: Dialga in Brilliant Diamond and Palkia in Shining Pearl.

TPC has also updated Pokémon Home with new features. On the Catch Calendar, you’ll be able to sort Pokémon by the dates they were caught, allowing you to relive those moments. You’ll also be able to see Pokémon in the Pokédex from a variety of perspectives, including from behind and above.
